From March 30 to April 4, 2025, the 32nd Ophthalmology Winter Academy took place in Schruns, Austria, at the exclusive Alpenhotel Montafon – a six-day intensive course focusing on the basics of phacoemulsification and pars plana vitrectomy. A dedicated and experienced team of course instructors guided the participants through practical training and taught them the microsurgical skills required to safely perform operations on patients. The focus was on intensive hands-on training in the wetlab: in state-of-the-art training rooms, participants worked with the latest equipment, high-quality instruments and original consumables – the ideal environment for practising surgical techniques under realistic conditions. The familiar atmosphere of the Alpenhotel Montafon and the professional exchange between colleagues rounded off the event perfectly amidst the impressive Alpine scenery.
We look forward to hosting the 33rd Ophthalmology Winter Academy at the Alpenhotel Montafon again in April 2026.
